Treat yourself to two full days of painting en plein air with landscape painter Leisl Mott. Leisl will share information about her practice and approach that you can apply immediately to your own work plus offer guidance tailored specifically to your goals and level of experience.
For starters, I’m sure it’s good for the soul, but it’s also good for the work you do. It may seem a little spooky, but I really feel like some of that delicious energy actually seeps into the painting you do.
Whether you’re an accomplished painter or you can’t remember the last time you picked up a brush, working en plein air (outdoors) always brings a wonderful dose of inspiration and pushes your practice forward.

Ramsay: 25km south of Toowoomba CBD. Easily accessible in a regular vehicle however some roads are unsealed.
You will receive a map and detailed directions. We’ll meet at the front gate and then use the farm vehicle to travel to the painting site.
All experience levels are welcome. The weekend will be tailored to each individual.
Tickets are $498 each and include your personalised tuition as well as hearty and delicious morning teas, lunches and afternoon teas.

You’ll be astounded at how far your work can come in one weekend painting outdoors. You’ll become more deliberate, more confident and more natural.
My goal is to facilitate your individual needs, whatever your level of experience. So the structure is pretty free and flexible.
I’ll share some of my process each day and offer some demos here and there as a group. In one-on-one time, we’ll focus on your individual goals and challenges, with guidance and processes specific to you.
I’m a strong believer in learning through doing, so this weekend will mostly be about that… using the work as the guide, expanding by expressing, loosening up, feeling your way to what works for you.
This weekend is designed to inspire you to relax and connect with the landscape in every way. Far from ‘roughing it’ in a paddock, we’ll have good food and comforts so you can enjoy the time outdoors whether you’re working or relaxing.
I’ve also selected a location that offers a lot of diversity within a relatively small area so there’s less traipsing around to do. Plus, Spring time should make for beautiful conditions.
