STUDIO ACADEMY
Studio Academy offers Studio School participants the opportunity to continue developing their painting skill with regular practice.
Places for each studio day are strictly limited to 6 participants who have completed the Foundation in Painting course.
The concept of the Studio Academy came from the idea of maintaining the momentum that began with the Foundation program:
You’ll be working on honing your personal painting style and expanding on skill through practice and guidance if you want it.
Having already explored the fundamentals, Studio Academy is your space to take what you’ve learnt about painting (as well as your painting personality and personal aesthetic) and follow your own path.
Each week, you can choose to launch into your own project(s) or simply arrive and be inspired by new projects and exercises already set up for you.
Studio Academy is more like a regular exercise session for creative development than a series of classes.
It’s for those who wish to continue working in a supported studio environment on a regular basis, understanding that the single, most valuable teacher is practice, helped along a little with guidance and some inspiration.
Over time, you will notice your ability to consistenly create work you’re pleased will increase, along with your confidence and intuitive decision-making around your art.
You may choose to keep Studio Academy a regular part of your week into the future or you may drop out and back in again if needed.
